We’ve come to know the Hyundai Tucson to be a lot of things. Fuel efficient, safe, tech-savvy—all of these clearly describe the CUV.
We also know the Tucson to exhibit a high degree of versatility, but Rockstar Performance Garage (RPG) recently took the Tucson to an entirely new level. The SEMA conference is coming up and an RPG-modified Tucson will be part of Hyundai’s presentation.
Nic Ashby, owner and general partner of Rockstar Performance Garage, explained in a press release what he and his team’s goal was with the Tucson. “The focus behind this build was to create an off-roader that nobody expected.” The Tucson proved to be a great canvas for their work, explains Ashby, because the CUV featured a “rigid frame” and had “plenty of room in the engine bay.”
The modifications for the Rockstar Performance Garage Hyundai Tucson include:
- Turbonetics Godzilla Blow Off Valve
- 32-inch MTZ P3 tires
- Fully-custom, adjustable shocks and struts system from King Shocks
- High-flow Magnaflow exhaust
- Smoked rear tail lights
- Custom off road bumpers
- King Shocks 2.5-inch Adjustable Strut Coilovers
