In conjunction with the New England Motor Press Association, WheelsTV recently named the 2013-14 Mazda CX-5 the 2016 Pre-Owned Vehicle of the Year. This model was recognized for its unparalleled quality of design, impressive durability, and timeless styling. If you want to get the best used car around, check out the 2013-14 CX-5.

Used cars are becoming more and more popular as the cost of living in the US rises. That means the 2013-14 CX-5 may just be one of the best options for buyers on the market in general, offering a great ride for a great price. Mazda also notes that the CX-5 also received several awards when it first appeared on the market, including a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS and a 2013 Green Car of the Year finalist award.

“The CX-5’s outstanding long-term reliability and exceptional consumer satisfaction made it a stand out in this year’s pre-owned vehicle of the year judging,” WheelsTV said in a statement. “This extraordinary crossover has proven its value through millions of trouble free miles on America’s roads and motorists’ hearts.”

This model comes with a bold exterior with sweeping contours and an iconic front fascia. Under the hood is a powerful 2.0-liter aluminum four cylinder, while a tuned suspension improves handling. This model has everything you could want in a car.

Mazda Aqua-tech Paint Technology Spreading Overseas

MazdaMazda Aqua-tech Paint technology, the lowest-impact auto painting method in the world, has been used exclusively in Mazda’s Ujina Plant No. 1 in Japan since its installation in 2012.

The method, which combines state-of-the-art paint with innovative energy-saving technologies, was recognized last year by the Prime Minister of Japan for its exceptionally low emissions. According to Mazda, Aqua-tech lowers emissions 78% from its previous and already low-impact oil-based paint systems without increasing energy use.

Now, three years after its initial installation in Japan, Mazda is bringing the Aqua-tech system to its production facility in Jiangsu, China. This marks only the second time the system will be used in a facility and the first time it has been installed at an overseas plant.

Mazda cites that Aqua-tech produces the same quality finish as its previous paint system and systems used by other automakers. Mazda is committed to reducing both CO2 and Volatile Organic Compound emissions, and will most likely gradually introduce Aqua-tech to its other plants in Japan and around the world.

Mazda Dealerships Earn Edmunds.com Five Star Dealer Awards

car shoppingCar buying is typically a stressful, and that’s just a universal truth. That’s probably why Edmunds.com set out to find dealerships that make it as easy and convenient as possible for their customers to get their new car and drive away feeling taken care of.

2016 marked the fourth annual Five Star Dealer Awards from Edmunds.com and a total of 23 Mazda dealerships across the country received the top award. These awards aren’t handed out unless the dealership has fully exhibited a strong commitment to excellent customer service and satisfaction. A single dealership must also receive no less than 20 perfect five star reviews over the course of the previous two years on Edmunds.com.

While Gossett Hyundai Mazda Mitsubishi was not on Edmunds.com exclusive Five Star Dealer Awards list (we’ll get ‘em next year!), we wanted to take the time to recognize our fellow Mazda dealers out there who are doing amazing work.

Plus, we want to assure our customers that we will strive to do whatever we can to earn their business, their trust, and their five-star reviews.

There’s a difference between driving well and driving for good. Mazda recently wrapped up its Drive for Good Campaign, which allowed for customers to help out a national or local charity when they purchased a Mazda vehicle. The results of the campaign show just how much help it has generated for various charitable organizations.

According to a Mazda press release, Mazda’s Drive for Good Event raised more than $5.3 million for charity.

The event, which ran from late November 2015 through early January 2016, facilitated the donation of $150 to various charity organizations for every new Mazda vehicle sold.

Additionally, Mazda dealerships also pledged an hour of community service for every Mazda test drive.

“Mazda Drive for Good is in its third year and we are honored to again announce continued growth in donations to our nonprofit partners,” said Masahiro Moro, president and CEO of MNAO. “With more than 72,000 hours pledged, volunteering continues to be the best opportunity for our employees and dealers to make a real difference in their local communities.”

Working together, customers and Mazda dealers made the difference for charities across the nation, a testament to the character of the Mazda brand and those who drive its vehicles.

Mazda Dealership Redesign Offers Upscale Appeal

MazdaMazda has unveiled its new “Retail Evolution” dealership store design at Mazda of Everett in Seattle. The upscale redesign exemplifies the direction the brand is moving, and six dealerships are expected to be finished by the end of 2015, with 75 more stores projected to get the overhaul by the end of 2016.

Mazda’s previous design, “Retail Revolution,” featured an orange and green color palette with industrial metal siding in an effort to appeal to young buyers. According to Automotive News, the new Mazda dealership design will feature bold but sophisticated design elements including a black and white color palette.

“We’re looking at this through a customer lens,” Jim O’Sullivan, CEO of Mazda North American said. “We’re attaining a much more sophisticated customer than we were in the past, and we want to make sure that our retail experience fits with what these customers are looking for.”

Besides a new color scheme, natural materials, and modern décor, the dealerships will also feature high-tech elements. For example, Mazda of Everett boasts a video wall behind the reception desk that is built from nine 55-inch Samsung TVs. The wall streams engaging footage through the course of the day. In addition, free Wi-Fi and charging stations are available.

Here at Gossett Hyundai Mazda Mitsubishi, we expect the Mazda dealership redesign will offer buyers a even greater premium buying experience.
