Mazda Dealerships Earn Edmunds.com Five Star Dealer Awards

car shoppingCar buying is typically a stressful, and that’s just a universal truth. That’s probably why Edmunds.com set out to find dealerships that make it as easy and convenient as possible for their customers to get their new car and drive away feeling taken care of.

2016 marked the fourth annual Five Star Dealer Awards from Edmunds.com and a total of 23 Mazda dealerships across the country received the top award. These awards aren’t handed out unless the dealership has fully exhibited a strong commitment to excellent customer service and satisfaction. A single dealership must also receive no less than 20 perfect five star reviews over the course of the previous two years on Edmunds.com.

While Gossett Hyundai Mazda Mitsubishi was not on Edmunds.com exclusive Five Star Dealer Awards list (we’ll get ‘em next year!), we wanted to take the time to recognize our fellow Mazda dealers out there who are doing amazing work.

Plus, we want to assure our customers that we will strive to do whatever we can to earn their business, their trust, and their five-star reviews.

There’s a difference between driving well and driving for good. Mazda recently wrapped up its Drive for Good Campaign, which allowed for customers to help out a national or local charity when they purchased a Mazda vehicle. The results of the campaign show just how much help it has generated for various charitable organizations.

According to a Mazda press release, Mazda’s Drive for Good Event raised more than $5.3 million for charity.

The event, which ran from late November 2015 through early January 2016, facilitated the donation of $150 to various charity organizations for every new Mazda vehicle sold.

Additionally, Mazda dealerships also pledged an hour of community service for every Mazda test drive.

“Mazda Drive for Good is in its third year and we are honored to again announce continued growth in donations to our nonprofit partners,” said Masahiro Moro, president and CEO of MNAO. “With more than 72,000 hours pledged, volunteering continues to be the best opportunity for our employees and dealers to make a real difference in their local communities.”

Working together, customers and Mazda dealers made the difference for charities across the nation, a testament to the character of the Mazda brand and those who drive its vehicles.

Mazda Dealership Redesign Offers Upscale Appeal

MazdaMazda has unveiled its new “Retail Evolution” dealership store design at Mazda of Everett in Seattle. The upscale redesign exemplifies the direction the brand is moving, and six dealerships are expected to be finished by the end of 2015, with 75 more stores projected to get the overhaul by the end of 2016.

Mazda’s previous design, “Retail Revolution,” featured an orange and green color palette with industrial metal siding in an effort to appeal to young buyers. According to Automotive News, the new Mazda dealership design will feature bold but sophisticated design elements including a black and white color palette.

“We’re looking at this through a customer lens,” Jim O’Sullivan, CEO of Mazda North American said. “We’re attaining a much more sophisticated customer than we were in the past, and we want to make sure that our retail experience fits with what these customers are looking for.”

Besides a new color scheme, natural materials, and modern décor, the dealerships will also feature high-tech elements. For example, Mazda of Everett boasts a video wall behind the reception desk that is built from nine 55-inch Samsung TVs. The wall streams engaging footage through the course of the day. In addition, free Wi-Fi and charging stations are available.

Here at Gossett Hyundai Mazda Mitsubishi, we expect the Mazda dealership redesign will offer buyers a even greater premium buying experience.
